Our Sunday Mornings

Our Sunday mornings begin at 9:00, with Sunday School classes for all ages, including an adult Bible fellowship class and a young adult class.  A youth Bible class, age-appropriate children’s classes (SonShine Creek), and an infant-toddler nursery are also available.  Before classes begin, some of our youth and adults stop by the refreshments table to pick up a cup of coffee or tea to take with them.  10:10-10:30 is a break and fellowship time, with coffee and tea still being served.

Our Worship Service begins at 10:30, also with an infant-toddler nursery provided.  Older children (through Grade 6) sit with their parents during the musical, first part of the Worship Service, then, before the Pastor’s message, they are dismissed to go to a special SonShine Creek children’s worship program.  Visiting children may either sit with their parents for the remainder of the service, or join in with others their age for a great time of making new friends and age-appropriate worship and learning from God’s Word.  Monthly, on first Sundays, before the children are dismissed, we share Communion in our morning service.

Our worship through music is an 80/20 blending of contemporary Christian songs and favorite traditional hymns.  It is led by one of our men, Mark Hoeckele, who is assisted by a team of vocal and instrumental musicians.

Our Pastor’s Sunday messages are always times in God’s Word, the Bible. His preaching is mostly expository, in that he usually takes us through books of the Bible, explaining the meaning of each Sunday’s Bible passage in its context, while emphasizing how that passage can be applied, practically, in our real lives today. Occasionally – such as during holiday seasons and during times of special need, Pastor Mike preaches from the Bible topically.
